has a rewarding full-time, entry-level opportunity for a Design Engineer in our Greenwich, NY office.
This individual will work independently on product design, including security gates, TARCO products and miscellaneous metal fabrication projects.
This individual will also support the sales and new product development efforts with the development of submittal drawings and complex production drawings.

Work closely with the Engineering Manager, the Operations Manager and the Sales Department on new product development, design modifications to existing products and changes in manufacturing methods to improve manufacturing.
Accurately create dimensioned shop and fabrication drawings of manufactured products and parts to be used in the production process.
Creates nests to minimize material wase as needed.
Develop and provide an accurate and complete bill of all materials and routings that will be used in the fabrication of manufactured products.
Create and process work orders.
May be required to develop CNC programs using VisualCAM for SolidWorks based on engineering drawings and models.
Qualifications of our Mechanical Designer/Drafter:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience/degree.
Steel and aluminum manufacturing and fabrication experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
SolidWorks and AutoCAD proficiency.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required.
Experience with CNC programming software desired.
Familiarity with document management systems.
